Founded on July 29, 1525, by Rodrigo de Bastidas, Santa Marta is the oldest city in Colombia and one of the most historic in Latin America. Five centuries later, it continues to captivate with its landscapes, vibrant culture, ancestral legacy, and the warmth of its people.
A Lasting Legacy: History and Samarian Pride
Santa Marta was home to great historical figures like Simón Bolívar, who died here at the Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino, now a museum and national site of reflection. Over the centuries, it has been a meeting point for indigenous cultures like the Tayrona, Spanish colonizers, and travelers from around the world.
Today, the city is a key cultural and tourism hub on an international scale.

The official video was filmed in iconic tourist spots like the Historic Center, Santa Marta Bay, Tairona Gold Museum, Pescaíto neighborhood, Los Cocos Beach, and the David Ruiz Ureche Coliseum, showcasing the city’s beauty, diversity, and vibrant spirit.
